Who is Wally?

“Ahoy there!”

Despite telling stories for a living, Wallace McKelvey — Wally if you’re into the whole brevity thing — prefers to be behind the camera.

He currently serves as managing editor for The York Dispatch, a daily newspaper based in central Pennsylvania. You can think of him as slightly more jovial J. Jonah Jameson, demanding photos of the Spider-Man. Previously, he worked as an investigative reporter for The Press of Atlantic City and PennLive/The Patriot-News.

Since 2018, he’s made a series of short films and documentaries that have screened at film festivals around the country — and earned a few jury prizes along the way. He’s currently working on his first feature film, “River City Stories,” a labor of love inspired by the culture of his home along the Susquehanna River.
